Eve Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 October 2026. Eve is operated by Alexa Loste. Contact: alexa@evecortex.com.
1. What these terms cover
These terms cover Eve, the memory service at evecortex.com, including the Eve web app and the Eve connector you add to Claude, ChatGPT, or another assistant. By using Eve you agree to them. Our privacy policy at evecortex.com/privacy explains what we store and who can see it. Please read it alongside these terms.
2. Your account
You need to be at least 13, and old enough to consent to data processing where you live, to use Eve. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian, and they agree to these terms for you. Keep access to your sign-in account secure: anyone who can sign in as you can read and change your memories. Tell us at alexa@evecortex.com if you think someone else has used your account.
3. Your memories are yours
You own what you put into Eve, and what your assistant saves to Eve on your behalf. We do not claim any ownership of it. You give us permission to store, process and display it only so far as we need to run Eve for you, as the privacy policy describes. We do not sell your memories and we do not use them to train models.
You can export your memory graph from the account menu, delete any memory, and ask us to delete your account. Section 10 of the privacy policy lists what the export does not yet include, and we will send you those parts on request. Section 6 of the privacy policy explains what deletion does.
4. What you agree not to do
Do not use Eve to break the law, to store content you have no right to store, or to harm other people. Do not store passwords, API keys, card numbers, government ID numbers, or health records in Eve: it is a memory store, not a secret store. Do not try to get into another person's memories, interfere with the service, or probe it for security weaknesses without our written permission. If you find a security problem, please tell us at alexa@evecortex.com.
If you share a memory space with other people, you are responsible for what you add to it, and the other members can read it.
5. Price
Eve is free while it is new. Once Eve reaches a set number of weekly users, accounts that already exist stay free, and new accounts get a free trial, after which saving and recall need a paid plan. If we change the price of an existing account, we will tell you first. Whatever plan you are on, your memories stay readable and exportable.
6. Changes to Eve and to these terms
Eve is a young service and will change. We may add, change or remove features. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect. If we decide to shut Eve down, we will aim to give you at least 30 days' notice and a way to export your memories.
7. Ending your use of Eve
You can stop using Eve at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will normally tell you why. If we close your account for any reason other than abuse, we will give you a chance to export your memories first.
8. No warranty
Eve is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.
Memory recall is produced by software and language models and can be incomplete or wrong. Do not rely on Eve as the only record of anything important, and check what it tells you before you act on it in medical, legal, financial or safety matters.
9. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or opportunities, arising from your use of Eve. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 50 US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. If you live in a country whose consumer law gives you rights that these terms cannot take away, you keep those rights.
11. General
You agree to bring any dispute about Eve in the state or federal courts in California, unless small claims court is available to you. These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Eve. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term, we have not waived it. We may transfer these terms to a company that takes over running Eve.
